The MBTA has dispatched shuttle buses to interchange service between Harvard and Park Road stations as a result of a practice with a mechanical downside at Central, the company tweeted Friday morning.

“Count on delays of at the least an hour with updates to observe,” the T tweeted at 9:52 a.m., the most recent of a collection of tweets on the issue.

A previous tweet inspired riders on the South Shore to “think about Commuter Rail Service from Braintree, Quincy Middle or JFK/UMass into downtown.”

This can be a growing story and will probably be up to date.
